Bihar celebrated 68th Republic day across the state with full delight and ebullience. Governor Ram Nath Kovind hoisted the National Flag tricolour at Gandhi Maidan Patna. He also took salute at an impressive parade by security forces. In his speech Governor Ram Nath Kovind praised the Bihar Government for its development works . He further said that Government is doing praiseworthy job to curb criminal activities and nabbing criminals in State. It has helped in bringing the law and order in control . While mentioning other main achievements of Bihar Government he said that Bihar is close to Kerala in electrifying all its villages. Till now out of total 39,073 villages in the state, 38,056 have already been electrified. The goal to electrify whole village would be completed by December 2017. The governor’s speech was mainly focused on the seven resolves of the Bihar Government and the total liquor ban. Further in his speech he reasserted the state government’s vow to establish rule of law .
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Bihar hoisted the National Flag tricolour at his official residence Patna. Deputy Chief Minister hoisted the flag in Rajendra Stadium , Chhapra. He also felicitated the Freedom Fighter from Saran by giving them “Ang Vastram”. There was also celebration in Vaishali , place where Democracy was originated.
There were celebrations in every nook and corner of the state. Especially school children were seen energetic in participating all the programs of Republic day . They shown their respect towards Nation by through Speech , Songs , Drama and Dance based on the theme of nationalism and knowledge related to Constitution and Big leaders who fought for freedom. Tricolor was also hoisted in all the official buildings and colleges.
