American Idol 2012 is going to start from 18th January,2012. This will be its 11th season. Earlier the date to premiere the show was on 22nd January, 2012.
In the show returning judges are Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler with featuring host Ryan Seacrest. There would be 11 contestants. One of the website “tragicomical” claims to leaked the names of all 11 contestants. Last year Scotty McCreery won the title of American Idol 2011.American Idol: titled American Idol: The Search for a Superstar started on Fox on 11th June,2002 .
Any interested singer can apply, who is legal U.S. citizen and not hold any current recording or talent 
representation contract by the semifinal stage and is within the age-range of 15 to 28 years. The new solo-recording singer is decided by the 
viewers vote / sms , which they send through telephone and Internet. The first American Idol was Kelly Clarkson. She later on also becomes the runner-up in the World Idol, in 2003. Other American Idol winners are Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze and Scotty McCreery.
