Bihar Government is soon going to facilitate Pension scheme for around three lakh Contractual Teachers ( Niyojit Sikshak) across the state. The education department of state has already took the approval from UTI. Under Pension scheme each month Rs. 200 would be deducted from each teacher’s salary and state will also contribute the same amount.
The proposal of pension has been forwarded for cabinet approval. It is expected that it would be approved soon. After the approval it would take two to three months to implement the pension scheme. It is expected that on 5th September Government would announce this pension scheme for teachers.
