Purchasing apartment / flats or any commercial complex would be costlier in Bihar from next year. Like any other state Revenue and Tax Department of Bihar is contemplating to implement tax on such purchase. Though decision is not finalized , as it is not clear what should be the tax rate . It is expected that this state would follow the tax structure of Maharashtra State . Department Staffs would visit Maharashtra to get the details.

In Maharashtra one percent of the property value is collected as tax and in Karnataka tax is collected on the basis of material used in the construction of apartments and commercial complexes.

Patna University  has introduced its new updated website . Earlier this website was static. There were hardly any changes or any updated information was published. PU vice chancellor has now assured that from now onwards Patna University would provide all the updated information related to admission , academic calendar of the year, examination related information, etc.

The Royal Train “Palace on Wheels” is awarded as the Best Luxury Train of India. This award has once again  highlighted the name of Rajasthan on the map of Travel and Tourism of world.

This award is given by Magazine “Travel Plus Leisure”. Royal Train is selected for this award on the  basis of survey done by the magazine from January, 2011 to December, 2011 . The season of this train every year is from September to April. The cost / charge / fare / tariff is $ 500 per person i.e Rs. 25000 per person for one night.

Anna Hazare and his team has continuously reminded the government that strong Lokpal is necessary for eradication of corruption in the country.  However, the government is adamant on introducing a Lokpal which is likely to become a symbolic institution like National Human Right Commission or National Commission for Women who have done little in their respective fields.

Each year on  Akshay Navmi in Aydhoya 14 Kosi Parikarma ( Kosi is equal to 2 miles) . In this parikarma devotees move around of Ayodhya the place of Lord Rama . The distance that they cover is about 28 miles.

To show their dedication and devotion to Lord Rama , each year the number of devotees is increasing , which is becoming very tough for the district administration to handle. This year about 20 lakh devotees came for “Chaudha Kosi Parikarma” in Ayodhya.

Sama-Chakeva is famous folk festival in Mithilanchal region.  This festival starts as soon as the Chhath Festival come to an end. This festival is celebrated only by females of Mithilanchal. They do all the rituals of this festival in group.

During Chhath Sama-Chakeva starts from the 1^st day of Kartikh Shukla Pakcha. Devotees welcom the pair of birds sama-chakeva. The  festival  ends with the ‘vidai’ of sama. On the day of purnima ‘Visarjan’ is performed and wish that these birds return  next year.  People of Mithilanchal who have now moved across India and abroad also do this festival with great fervour.

American Idol 2012 is going to start from 18^th  January,2012. This will be its 11th season. Earlier the date to premiere the show was on 22^nd  January, 2012.

In the show returning judges are Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler with  featuring host   Ryan Seacrest. There would be 11 contestants.
