Jharkhand – Madrasas Modernization Process in Delay

Central Government has allotted Rs. 81 Crore in 2008 for modernization of 186 Madrasas across India. Each Madrasa would get Rs.2.29 Crore for this purpose.

However, in Jharkhand the story is different on the flipside. The state government has not used the amount allotted by Centre. Authorities of Madrasas has put up the demand to utilize the money and help in the process of modernization of Madrasas . The problem is that there are buildings for Madrasas, money for the purpose and people to help in this process, but lackadaisical attitude by Jharkhand state has made the whole process difficult.

Most of the Madrasas need furniture. Besides, two computers in each Madrasas in the state. However, even after 3 years these requirements of Madrasas are not fulfilled. It is expected that government will soon take serious attempt to improve the condition of Madrasas, which would pave they way towards modernization for the students of Madrasas.
